My Blogging Playlist

When blogging, I always have Spotify open (a new find – although I’d heard of it before, I never thought to use it) which I love. I open Spotify first thing in the morning and put on music to get me ready for the day, and then put it on in the afternoon when I’m just relaxing or, occasionally, when I’m reading.

I especially use it when blogging and, although sometimes I dance around or sing more than I write, I love being able to write to the lyrics and beat of the music.

Today I’m going to share some of the music on the blogging playlist I’ve put together. I hope you enjoy!

Let Me In by Grouplove – I found this recently as it’s one of the songs included on the soundtrack for The Fault in Our Stars movie and I love it. It makes me feel so motivated for some reason and it makes me feel very smiley. Perfect!

Luna by Bombay Bicycle Club – Another recent find that I checked out after hearing a cover on YouTube and I love it! It’s a bit quirkier than the typical stuff I listen to but it’s something I’ll definitely be listening to a lot this summer.

Don’t Save Me by Haim – I didn’t immediately fall in love with Haim’s music but it grew on me after a while and now I can’t get enough. The album artwork also really reminds me of the cover of Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson – bookish bonus!

Underdog & Radioactive by Imagine Dragons – Whenever I put on Imagine Dragons, it puts me in the mood to blog straight away. Imagine Dragons are my go-to for music and my favourite band. I’m a huge, huge fan of their music and these are probably my two current favourite songs of theirs.

Pompeii by Bastille – I’ve been listening to Bastille for a while now and, whilst I don’t listen to all of their songs, the few I do listen to I love. Pompeii is one of my favourites, with Things We Lost in the Fire and Flaws the runners up.

Love Like This by Kodaline – Another very recent find that I love. I’m a huge fan of acoustic-y type music and I absolutely love this feel-good song from Kodaline. It makes me want to sit out in the sun and read (that’s if we ever get any sun in England!).

Let It Go by Demi Lovato – I can’t write this post without including a song from Frozen. Whilst I didn’t love the movie (eek! Sorry!), I’ve really enjoyed listening to the songs afterwards and Let It Go is one of my favourites. I’ve included the Demi Lovato version because I like it slightly better, but I’ll happily listen to Idina Menzel’s too.

La La La by Naughty Boy and Sam Smith – I don’t love this song as much as I do the others, but it’s kind of motivating and I really like the strings bit at the start. Ha!

Do you listen to music while blogging? What are your favourite songs to listen to?
