Showcase Sunday (3)

Showcase Sunday is hosted by Vicky at Books, Biscuits and Tea and allows bloggers to showcase their book hauls.

I’ve decided to do Showcase Sunday this week instead of Stacking the Shelves as I really want to find new bloggers and a lot of the same people join in with STS.
I also didn’t have enough time to photograph on Friday night and I like to join in on the day that the meme is posted.
I haven’t received many books this week compared to last because I haven’t been to the library but I’m really pleased with the books that I did get.
Amazon Book Haul:
I don’t normally order books online but I couldn’t get these two at any local bookshops and wanted to read them so I decided that ordering once wouldn’t hurt.
From What I Remember by Stacy Kramer and Valerie Thomas- This books sounds really good. The plot sounds funny and I can’t wait to start it. And it’s contemporary! Bonus!
The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith- I’ve wanted to read this for a while now and so I’m really pleased that I’ve finally got it. And it’s another contemporary!
Review Haul:
I received three books to review this week and I love all of them! Thank you Chicken House, Macmillan and Spinebreakers.
Vortex by Julie Cross- I received Tempest last week and after loving it, Macmillan offered me the second book in the trilogy to read. And I couldn’t stop myself from kissing the cover! Thank you Macmillan!
Dead Romantic by C.J. Skuse- I was so lucky to get this book! I read it for the blog tour that I’m participating in and I loved it. Thank you Chicken House!
1984 by George Orwell- I read the first few paragraphs of this novel earlier this month and was fascinated so I was really pleased when this was one of the options I could pick from as part of the Spinebreakers team. And I love the cover! Thank you, Spinebreakers!
Other:

The Quick Expert’s Guide to Writing a Blog- I’ve wanted to get my hands on this book since I heard that one of my best blogging buddies, Zoe, was featured in it. It’s a book full of great tips and is a really good guide to those who want to start a blog.
What books did you receive this week?

Vortex looks REALLY GOOD! I ended up DNFing Tempest, but I heard Vortex is a LOT better and also a lot more technical and confusing at the same time so I really hope you enjoy! 😀
