So first off I must start by saying that I have a massive list of my book boyfriends and there are over 50 names on there. This makes my friends laugh an awful lot. I’m going to pick out some of my favourites here but I’m happy (very happy!) to discuss more in the comments below or feel free to send me a Tweet and I’ll be happy to reply.
Sooo….The list!
1. Yul from the Stonewylde series by Kit Berry- *swoon* Yul is literally one of my all time favourite characters and, although I don’t know many people who have read this book, two of my friends have and I’ve had to tell them to back off. They now think I’m crazy (I think they already did!).
2. Will Herondale from The Infernal Devices trilogy by Cassandra Clare- I’m obsessed with these books at the moment and I’ve been constantly talking about them. That means that I’ve been fangirling and swooning over Will all week and my friends have to tell me to shut up. I will marry him one day!
3. James Carstairs from The Infernal Devices trilogy by Cassandra Clare- Jem is one of the sweetest boys I’ve ever read about; he’s just so chivalrous! I just want to hug him because, really, you can’t do much better than him.
4. Jace Wayland from The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare- Have you noticed a recurring theme here? Cassandra Clare writes about the most amazing fictional love interests (it pained me to write fictional then) and so it really is no hardship to add them all to my list. Jace is a very sexy Shadowhunter.
5. Augustus Waters from The Fault in Our Stars by John Green- Augustus. Wow. What can I say?! He made me laugh, cry, and want to run and just fly. Does that sound weird..? It doesn’t to me!
6. Perry from Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi- I envy Aria. Seriously, WHY DOES SHE GET TO HANG OUT WITH PERRY WHEN IT SHOULD BE ME?!
7. Noah Shaw from The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin- WHY?! Why did I ever pick up this book?! There’s no going back! Nights laying awake thinking of Noah will follow…I’m warning you!
8. Etienne St. Clair from Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins- Another swoonworthy guy right here! Move over, Anna! HE’S MINE!
9. Ian and Jared from The Host by Stephenie Meyer- I’m putting these two together because this book features a very interesting love square (is that what you call it?! I don’t know!). I love them both so much!
10. Tamani from the Wings trilogy by Aprilynne Pike- TEAM TAMANI, FTW! WOO! If you want sexy faeries THEN READ THIS RIGHT NOW!
11. Maxon from The Selection by Kiera Cass- Words cannot describe how much I love Maxon (I can hear you shaking your head! Of course they can, Lucy, is what you’re saying, that’s what words are for!). But I’m hoping that adding him to this list will be enough.
12. Four from the Divergent by Veronica Roth- Woo! I love Four but so does my friend so we’ve had quite a few arguments over him.
I also wanted to include Gabriel and Gideon Lightwood (The Infernal Devices, Cassandra Clare), Hale (Heist Society, Ally Carter), Ash (The Iron King, Julie Kagawa JUST FOR YOU, EILEEN!), Patch (Hush, Hush, Becca Fitzpatrick), Corndog and Henry (Catching Jordan and Stealing Parker by Miranda Kenneally), Kaspar (The Dark Heroine: Dinner with a Vampire by Abigail Gibbs).
Who are YOUR favourite love interests?

I tried doing a post like this and it took me forever (see http://deathbooksandtea.blogspot.co.uk/2012/12/top-ten-boyfriendsgirlfriendsromantic.html). Have fun with all this polyamoury!

12 April, 2013 at 10:36 amUm right… How do I say this nicely? WILL IS MINE!!!! 😀 And Augustus is also sort of mine, but I don’t mind if you borrow him… That sounds so weird! 🙂
“They’re not hideous,” said Tessa.
Will blinked at her. “What?”
“Gideon and Gabriel,” said Tessa. “They’re really quite good-looking, not hideous at all.”
“I spoke,” said Will, in sepulchral tones, “of the pitch-black inner depths of their souls.”
Tessa snorted. “And what color do you suppose the inner depths of your soul are, Will Herondale?”
“Mauve,” said Will.”
See, even his soul is beautiful hehe! I’ll stop now, because I keep finding myself getting into arguments with people over fiction boys. Only the other day on Goodreads Zoe and I were both arguing over Will… Soooo anyway, great post. 😀

12 April, 2013 at 4:55 pmFor a start, MAXON IS MINE! And I think I deserve Four as well since you did forgot him 😉
You know how much I love our conversations on Book Boyfriends! There are just too many and authors put us through so much pain knowing they aren’t real. I must admit I have a huge list of love-interests too although I’m not sure it can match yours! My favourites are:
-Peeta from The Hunger Games Trilogy – How can you not love him? It was the way he didn’t want himself to change and was always looking out for Katniss. He is selfless, strong, caring and just has the most beautiful personality.
-Prince Dorian from Throne of Glass – I think it was his way with Celaena throughout the book and how he could connect with you but also had a humorous side. The conversations between him and Chaol were just so good!
-Four from Divergent – Four is one of my lucky numbers!
-Maxon from The Selection – His fear of crying girls – just so perfect!
-Ethan from Beautiful Creatures – I had completely forgotten about him! It was his humour, how realistic he was, his understanding of everything and his fight for Lena. I know no other boys or girls for that matter who would do what he did. Fitting in is everything in school and to not just means sitting on your own at lunch.(That sounds so sad!)
I think you were actual the one that drew me into book-boyfriend madness!

So Many Books, So Little Time
12 April, 2013 at 8:15 pmlots of my favourites there! I’d have to through Dylan from Diary of a Crush, Dimitri from Vampire Academy and Wes from The Truth About Forever in there, though!

12 April, 2013 at 9:51 pmI have to say I’m jealous you have friends you have read these books to argue over them with! Hardly any of my friends read these books:(
And I’d also like to note that none of you can have will cause he’s already mine. And jace too. Oh and Augustus. You can have Jem, he’s lovely but not my type!
There are of course endless amounts of guys I love and unfortunately all of them are fictional. Does anyone else have the problem of once you fall for a guy like Will Herondale all other (real) guys in your life pale in comparison? I have set my standards far too high, so thanks a lot Cassandra Clare!
Haha, love your blog though! DFTBA! 🙂
