Letterbox Love is a UK based feature where book bloggers showcase the books that they received that week, be they e-books, paperbacks, hardbacks or any other format. It is hosted by Lynsey from Narratively Speaking.
Last weekend I did a car boot and got rid of a lot of stuff so this meant that I earned a bit of money and spent it on…books! What else? I also had a really fab letter in the post which really did make my day.
Bought:
Going Vintage by Lindsey Leavitt- I love the sound of this one- a girl who dismisses all technology. I know it’s something I couldn’t do so I’m really interested in seeing how this is written.
The Moon and More by Sarah Dessen- I’ve only ever read one Sarah Dessen book and I’m currently reading this and really enjoying it. I’m on a bit of a contemporary kick at the moment.
Attachments by Rainbow Rowell- I’ve already read this (review to be posted tomorrow) and I loved it so much.
Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo- I had to find out what all the fuss was about, didn’t I? I can’t wait to start this one because I’ve heard amazing things about it.
Received:
This photo really doesn’t do this justice, but anyway. I’ve been ill for the past few days and this really cheered me up. It’s from Amber at The Mile Long Bookshelf and it’s a gorgeous bookmark which I started using immediately, and a few little notes. Thank you so much, Amber! You really are the best.
What did you get this week? Link back to your own posts and I’ll be sure to check them out!

7 July, 2013 at 11:56 amI’ve wanted to get my hands on a copy of Going Vintage for absolutely ages now, it looks so unique! I haven’t read anything from Sarah Dessen (bows head in shame) but I have heard nothing but positive things about her novels, and really want to try them soon. Rainbow Rowell sounds so good! And Eleanor and Park looks super sweet. 🙂
I really hope you love all of your new books, Lucy. I’m looking forward to hear what you think of them. By the way, those notes are very cute – what a lovely surprise from Amber! 🙂
Thanks for sharing this brilliant post with us, Lucy! 😀

7 July, 2013 at 12:25 pmSuch a great haul Lucy, I’m very jealous! After reading and LOVING E&P I’ve become a big Rainbow Rowell fan and I would love to read another of her novels. I went birthday book shopping today and I was SO close to buying Shadow and Bone and The Moon and More but instead I chose three other novels. Pretty Girl 13 (which I was pleased to see mentioned in one of Ambers notes), If I Stay and a Louise Renninson novel. But TM&M and S&B look so good so I’m looking forward to seeing how you like it! What a nice surprise from Amber – blogging friends are the best! Happy Reading 🙂

7 July, 2013 at 3:43 pmAhh, so many awesome books! I have The Moon and More for review but I’m saving it for when I go on holiday for a summer read. Going Vintage sounds amazing but I’m not sure how much I could relate to the MC if she dismisses technology, haha 😉 After loving Eleanor & Park so much, I really want to read Attachments. Looking forward to your review.
Are we still on for the Shadow and Bone read-a-long? We need to talk about it on Twitter 😛
Isn’t Amber awesome! Awesome Amber… alliteration because she’s that epic 😉 Your bookmark is just as beautiful as mine and I love the little notes. I have been ill too, so they cheered me up as well. SLOTHS! 😀
Happy reading, Lucy! Enjoy your books!
