Today I’m here to do the July Recap and August Goals post.
This month I read:
The Future of Us by Jay Asher and Carolyn Mackler
The Moon and More by Sarah DessenAttachments by Rainbow Rowell
The Truth About You and Me by Amanda Grace
The Avery Shaw Experiment by Kelly Oram
Bittersweet by Cathy Cassidy -NOVELLA
Angelfall by Susan Ee
Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
The Midnight Heir by Cassandra Clare and Sarah Rees Brennan -NOVELLA
Level 2 by Lenore Applehans
Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock by Matthew Quick
Split by a Kiss by Luisa Plaja
The Fifth Wave by Rick Yancey
The Soterion Mission by Stewart Ross
The Ghost Bride by Yangsze Choo
My three favourites were:
Attachments by Rainbow Rowell, Angelfall by Susan Ee and The Fifth Wave by Rick Yancey.
I’ve done so much in July, like moving to WordPress which was a huge thing for me. As well as moving, I made my own header and blog button, which was something I was nervous about doing. I’m normally useless when it comes to design.
August Goals
In August, I’m hoping to read:
The Elites by Natasha Ngan which is one of my most anticipated reads of the year. I have a proof sat on my shelf at the moment and it’s taking all of my self-restraint to stop me from picking it up.
The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon is another review book sat on my shelf. I have the gorgeous hardback and I’m going to be starting it as soon as I finish my current read.
My Mad Fat Diary by Rae Earl sounds so much fun and so I’m really looking forward to reading it.
August means that I’m no longer at school so I’m going to be trying to get through my TBR pile and also filming more vlogs (hopefully!)

1 August, 2013 at 6:08 amIt looks like you were able to read a ton in July, Lucy!! I’ve been meaning to buy a copy of The 5th Wave for basically forever. I’ve also had Angelfall on my Kindle for quite a while, and really need to pick it up soon. I really enjoyed Shadow & Bone, so it’s awesome you were able to read that this month!
I’m actually starting school in August (*sobs*), so I’ll be having the opposite situation from you- less reading time, le sigh. I hope you have an awesome, book-filled August though, Lucy! <3

1 August, 2013 at 6:44 pmThe Fifth Wave was so good, as was Angelfall. I suppose that’s why they’re two of my favourites for the month… 😉 I’ve got to write my reviews of them soon, so do keep an eye out for them later in the month!
You’re starting school this month? Boo! That sucks. Thanks, Anneqah!

1 August, 2013 at 10:12 amGreat recap, Lucy! 🙂 I read ANGELFALL this month too, and really enjoyed it though it was terrifying. Wow, you read a lot! 😮
Also, you shouldn’t have been nervous about designing your blog button! It turned out awesomely!
Oh and read The Elites an The Bone Season! 😀 Both are absolutely brilliant. They’re two of the most original fantasies I’ve read this year.
-Happy reading for August! Georgia x

1 August, 2013 at 6:46 pmThanks, Georgia! It was, wasn’t it? It was very realistic!
I’ve actually had a bad month this month, compared to some. Is that hard to believe?
I finished The Bone Season earlier and have just started The Elites, although I’m not that far in. I loved The Bone Season! Warden <333333
Thank you! You too!

1 August, 2013 at 5:05 pmYou read so freakin’ much! I feel like a bad book blogger in comparison – I barely managed to read any this month!
I’m also going to be reading my proof of The Elites in August and am SUPER excited! It looks amazing!
Oh and is that Mad Fat Diary by Rae Earl the one that was turned into a TV show?! ‘Cause I watched that and actually liked it, aha! ;D

1 August, 2013 at 6:48 pmDon’t feel bad! I’m quite a fast reader and don’t really have any other hobbies so I have plenty of time on my hands!
I’ve just started The Elites and love it to pieces already. I can tell it’s going to be a favourite of mine.
It is the same one! I haven’t watched the TV programme but, if you liked it, then I know the book will be brilliant.
Thanks for commenting, Rachel!

1 August, 2013 at 6:50 pmThanks, Erika! I did read quite a lot, but it’s been a bit of a poor month compared to some of my other months in the year. Oh well!

2 August, 2013 at 12:56 pmWow, you had an amazing reading month! I haven’t yet read anything by either Sarah Dessen or Rainbow Rowell but I’m hoping to in the near-future. I liked The 5th Wave but sadly, I found it was quite similar to a lot of my other books. If felt it needed more. I also had a problem with the amount of mistakes in the novel with spelling!
I hope you enjoy ‘The Bone Season’ – the imagination is incredible!
I love the fact you get more reading time throughout the summer! I’m also planning to film a vlog but whether or not I will post it is another thing.
