For the close-to-four years I’ve been blogging, my location has changed a little bit. Now I have my own space where I can arrange all my blogging tools and write to my heart’s content. It’s my little safe haven which is usually a mess and I have to stumble around and try not to trip over my tripod, books and/or clothes that I’ve changed into in between takes of videos. I love it though, so I thought I’d show you around!
When I’m being lazy, I blog and edit videos for my YouTube channel sprawled across my bed, usually amongst a pile of books with tangled earphones in my ears, blaring out music. My bed is also typically the place where I set up books to take pictures for my Instagram, blog and Tumblr, and there’s nothing I love more than snuggling up and writing and planning away.
Next to my bed is my bookcase and bookshelfs, which I like to think are the main focuses of my bedroom. When I first moved into my room, I wasn’t sure if I’d have the room for a bookcase but then I found this cute one from B&Q and it fits in so well – it’s my reading nook! With it being so together, I find it so much easier to pick off books when I need to use them for posts, whereas before I would leave them lying around and my bookcase would never look “Tumblr Perfect.”
I’ve had to downsize my book collection a little bit, but I actually like the fact that it’s slightly smaller because I know that the books I’ve kept are ones that I’m really passionate about and love with all my heart. My bookshelves are from IKEA and they double up as a bedside table too. Although not the perfect size for books, I’ve been able to fit all of my all-time favourite books on to them which makes me very happy.
I’ve never had a proper desk before where I can sit and work at, so blogging from my desk feels like I’ve got my own tiny office space. For the majority of the time, it is extremely untidy with paper strewn everywhere and books piled high that I need to get round to reading, reviewing or working on for projects.
The big books to the left are storage boxes that I found in TK Maxx and I don’t have anything in them at the moment – they’re just there to look aesthetically pleasing! My desk is also from IKEA and the colour makes it perfect for taking Instagram pictures on.
I love the little blogging area I’ve built up over the past few months. It’s my space where I can sit back, eat chocolate and bash out as many words as possible onto my trusty laptop. It’s my idea of blogging heaven!

I usually alternate between where I blog. Sometimes I’ll sit at my desk and have everything I need set out next to me and other times I’ll be on my bed writing as soon as inspiration strikes. It all depends what the situation is.

I have a desk but I really need to change it! You have a beautiful set up and I hope I can have something like that in a few months when I move

Your room is gorgeous! It’s so great you have your own space where you feel comfortable to blog etc. It’s silly, but I feel like I’m more productive when I like my setting 🙂
