On a total whim, I decided to participate in #100happydays and, being the impatient person I am, I decided I couldn’t delay! After seeing Lauren’s gorgeous posts on Instagram, it’s something I’ve thought about doing for a while but have always forgotten or pushed away – “I’ll do it at a later date!” I always told myself.
I was reminded of it today for some reason that I can’t remember, and what’s the point in waiting around? I’m going to jump right in!
Today I visited one of my favourite places in the world – Avebury. You’ve most likely heard of Stonehenge, but probably not heard of Avebury.
Aveburry is a Neolithic henge containing three stone circles around the village of Avebury. The village itself is quaint and extremely beautiful and there is something so majestical about the surrounding stones. I always feel revitalised and cleansed after paying a visit.
Today has been such a brilliant day. I feel truly blessed – I’m so much luckier and have had so many more opportunities than lots of other people. Sometimes it’s good to take a step back and reflect. I have a wonderful family and wonderful friends.
I’m hoping that through doing #100happydays I’ll be able to see just how happy I am, because I am. I love my life and I wouldn’t change anything for the world.
